My Winter Car Perfect Save File: Fix Corruption & Fully Assembled Corris GT

📅 2026-01-15

Summary

Many players in My Winter Car have faced that heartbreaking moment: a BUG causes a Corrupted Save, or your half-assembled car suddenly glitches into the sky. Don't worry, we have prepared a "Perfect Backup" for you. This save file not only fixes your game progress but also provides a fully assembled Corris GT (Rivett) so you can start driving immediately.

Why Do You Need This Save?

This save file mainly solves two major pain points:

1. Fix Corrupted Save

Amistech's game engine is known for being "hardcore and prone to bugs". If you unfortunately encounter a corrupted save or your vehicle gets stuck in the ground and cannot be recovered, using this complete save package (covering all game data including items, vehicles, and status) is the fastest and safest way to reset your game state.

2. Skip Tedious Assembly

If you just want to experience the thrill of drifting on the frozen lakes of Finland and don't want to spend dozens of hours looking for every single bolt, this save is for you.

  • Corris GT (Rivett): Fully assembled and parked in the garage.
  • Ready to Drive: The vehicle is in perfect condition and has even passed inspection. Just get in, start the engine, and drive.

The author has prepared everything for you, just like handing over the keys to a lovingly cared-for car:

Installation Guide (Full Replacement)

Many players download a save and only replace savefile.txt, only to find that although they have more money, the car is still in pieces. This is because the vehicle state is controlled by carparts.txt. Please strictly follow these steps:

⚠️ Important: Backup!

Before doing any file operations, be sure to backup your current save.

How: Find your original .txt save files, copy and paste them into a new folder on your desktop.

Step 1: Open Save Directory

My Winter Car saves are hidden in the system's AppData folder. The fastest way to access it is:

  1. Press Win + R on your keyboard to open the "Run" window.
  2. Copy and paste the following path code:
    %localappdata%low/Amistech/My Winter Car/

  3. Click "OK" or press Enter.

Step 2: Replace ALL Files

  1. Unzip the Rivett GT Perfect Save.zip (or My Winter Car - Corris GT Savegame.zip) file you downloaded.
  2. Select All the unzipped files (including savefile.txt, carparts.txt, items.txt, options.txt, etc.).
  3. Drag and drop them ALL into the My Winter Car folder you just opened.
  4. When the system prompts "The destination has files with the same names", be sure to choose "Replace the files in the destination".

Warning: This is a complete save package. To ensure the game state is fully synchronized (including item positions, vehicle status, settings, etc.), you MUST overwrite all files, not just one.

FAQ

Q: I replaced the save, but there is no change when I start the game via Steam? A: This is because Steam Cloud overwrote your local files.

  • Solution: Before replacing the save, right-click the game in your Steam Library -> Properties -> General, and Turn OFF "Steam Cloud".

Q: Why am I still in the original location after loading? A: Your spawn point is determined by savefile.txt. If the replacement was successful, you should appear at your parents' house (or wherever the save was saved). If the location hasn't changed, it means savefile.txt was not successfully replaced (check if Steam Cloud overwrote it).

Q: What should I do next? A: Although the foundation is laid, this is still your car! We suggest you:

  1. Go to the store and buy a set of brand new Tires.
  2. Go to Fleetari and simulate a Spray Paint job.
  3. Perform a Factory Tuning on the carburetor and valves.

Conclusion

This is a perfect starting point. Using this save, you can skip the boring scavenging and enjoy the fun of driving and tuning immediately. If you need to fine-tune the wear of a specific part, you can also use our MWC Editor Online Tool.
